West Side participates in several corporate sponsored programs designed to support education. The programs require little effort from the participants yet offer the school financial and material benefits. We would like to make you aware of the programs and how to participate if you so choose.
Campbell’s Labels
Clipping the labels off your favorite Campbell’s and other participating brands can earn points for West Side to use toward the purchase of school materials. Please save the front label from all Campbell’s cans and the UPC label from boxes or bags of Goldfish crackers. Stop in to your campus office for a complete listing of qualifying brands. There are collection boxes in each campus office.
Giant Eagle’s Apples for Students
Giant Eagle offers Apples for Students, which allows families to earn points toward educational awards. Each time you shop at Giant Eagle using your Giant Eagle Advantage Card®, you will earn points for our school - points the school saves and redeems for great educational tools. But unlike collecting receipts that can be forgotten or misplaced, the points are automatically credited to WSMC through the Giant Eagle Advantage Card®.
How do you register your card? There are two easy ways: 1.) Call 1-800-474-4777 and follow the recorded prompts. You must have your Giant Eagle Advantage Card® on hand and also WSMC’s school ID number: 4288. 2.)Visit the Giant Eagle website at www.gianteagle.com, toward the bottom of the page you will see a Community Events heading. Click on Educational Support. Choose Apples for Students and follow the onscreen instructions. Be sure to have your card and the school’s ID number.
General Mills Box Tops
This program is as easy as eating a bowl of cereal or having a snack! All you have to do is look for the Box Top logo on General Mills products, cut it out, and bring it to school. Watch your grocery receipt for bonuses which can be turned into school too.
Funding Factory
West Side participates in the Funding Factory, which is a program that allows the school to earn points to be used toward the purchase of technology equipment by recycling used laser and ink jet printer cartridges and cell phones. This is a great way to promote recycling within your home and the community. Donation boxes are available at all three campuses for your used cartridges and cell phones. Meijer Community Rewards
Every time you shop at Meijer you can earn rewards for West Side through the store’s incentive program, Meijer Community Rewards. The more you shop, the more you earn. Here’s how it works: Apply for a Meijer credit card or Meijer 1 card by filling out an application in any campus office or online at Meijer.com/rewards. Be sure to include West Side’s code, 977192. If you already have a credit or guest card call 1-800-962-7011 to link your account to West Side’s code. In order for WSMC to receive credit, you must pay with cash, your pin debit card or your Meijer card.
Sherwin-Williams Neighbor-to-Neighbor
Neighbor-to-Neighbor is a Sherwin-Williams program that gives cash back to a school when parents, families, and staff shop at their neighborhood Sherwin-Williams stores. Participation in the program is easy. There is no limit to the number of people who can participate. West Side has special Neighbor-to-Neighbor Savings cards with our designated account number. Cards are available in each campus office. Simply present the card at any Sherwin Williams store when you shop. You receive 20% savings on all regular priced merchandise and 5% savings on all sale priced merchandise. Cards may be used when purchasing paint, stain, wallpaper and tools any time of year. In turn, West Side will receive 3% of total eligible sales credited to our account.
Target Take Charge
As part of Target’s Take Charge of Education program, Target will donate 1% of your store and target.com purchases charged to a registered school if you use your Target Guest Card or Target Visa through their “Take Charge of Education” program.
It is easy to participate. If you don’t already have a Target Guest Card or Target Visa you can pick up an application at any Target store. Then call the Target School Fundraising hotline at 1-800-316-6142 and give them your Target Guest Card or Target Visa number along with West Side’s school account number 14378. Each time you use either card the West Side school code will automatically be linked to your receipt and Target will donate 1% of your purchases to West Side. If you already have a Target Guest Card or Target Visa you can call the Target School Fundraising hotline and give the operator West Side’s school code to participate in this program. You will need to call the hotline only this one time to link your account number with West Side’s school account number.
The beauty of this fundraising program is that anyone across the country who shops at Target can use a Target Guest Card or Target Visa to contribute to West Side by calling the hotline and providing West Side’s school account number.
