Each spring, WSMC  hosts a major event for the school community and guests. The West Side Board of Trustees and its committees use contributions from this event to support long-range strategic plans. An example is the Financial Aid program started at West Side. This program was initially funded through the 1999-00 Mardi Gras Mania Dinner Auction.

This year’s silent auction and grazing event, Game Show Gala, raised over $25K for the school’s Financial Assistance Program. With fun and games like "Are You Smarter Than A Middle Schooler," WSMC Wheel of Fortune, Mad Grab, and 21, plus a Grand Mayan Adventure and a Wine Table raffle, there was something for everyone.
