Earn Money for Tuition by Spending Money
West Side families have the option to accrue dollars toward their child’s tuition through their everyday spending at places like Giant Eagle, Speedway, as well as many other area businesses. WESTAP, the school’s parent-coordinated vendor certificate program, allows families to purchase “scrip” to be used as cash at their favorite participating vendor locations year-round. (The Kroger gift card program allows you to add money to your card at Kroger stores instead of ordering additional cards through WESTAP.)
This is how it works. Parents use the scrip order form to purchase scrip, which has the same value as cash, to be used at their favorite participating grocery store, gas station, restaurant, etc. Each time you purchase scrip, a percentage of the money spent is applied toward your child’s tuition. (Kroger percentages accumulate and are credited to your account in February.) The percentage varies depending on the vendor.
To purchase scrip you must submit your completed order form along with a check for the total amount of purchased scrip. Checks must be made out to West Side Montessori Center. Order forms and checks should be dropped off at the campus office that is most convenient to you.
If you are new to the program you need to fill out a registration form, which is available at each campus office when you place your first order. Once you accumulate more than $20 in credit you will see the credit on your monthly tuition statement from West Side.
At the McCord Campus you may turn in orders for the upcoming week as late as Friday at 6 PM. If you drop off orders at Bancroft and Perrysburg campuses, orders must be dropped off by Thursday at 6 PM.
The McCord Campus has specific weekly pick-up times. They are as follows:
Wednesday 2:45 pm-3:30 pm
Thursday 8:15 am-8:45 am
If you plan to order scrip from the Bancroft and Perrysburg campuses, please contact the receptionist in each office to collect your orders.
