In the fall of 2000 West Side Montessori engaged in the first major capital campaign in the school’s history, The Campaign for West Side.  Campaigns of this type occur on an as needed basis and support major projects such as new construction and building renovation. The pledges and donations raised from The Campaign for West Side helped build the new Bancroft Campus Upper Elementary classrooms, a Commons Room with stage, full kitchen, a state-of-the-art technology resource center, and four Middle School classrooms including a science lab.

In August 2011, as part of the school's second capital campaign - Coming Together: A Learning Community United, West Side Montessori broke ground for a new building at Bancroft Campus designed for toddlers through Lower Elementary students.  All current McCord Campus students will occupy the new facility in the spring, joining their older siblings and friends in upper elementary through Middle School. The school community celebrated the upcoming campus consolidation with a parade and popsicles at the end of school in June.
