In the fall of 2000 West Side engaged in the first major capital campaign in the school’s history, The Campaign for West Side.  Campaigns of this type occur on an as needed basis and support major projects such as new construction and building renovation. The pledges and donations raised from The Campaign for West Side helped build the new Bancroft Campus Upper Elementary classrooms, a Commons Room with stage, full kitchen, a state-of-the-art technology resource center, and four Middle School classrooms including a science lab.

This year the school is about to embark on the second capital campaign, Coming Together: A Learning Community United. Families had an opportunity to view the plans for the new school at Sweet September Sundae and to take a “virtual” tour of the building. The consolidation of the McCord and Bancroft campuses is very exciting. Campaign details will be forthcoming.
